Beabadoobee eyes a second week atop the NACC 200

NACC 200 NOTABLES:

1] Beatrice Laus, who records as Beabadoobee, has released three NACC 200 chart-topping albums, and this week her fourth LP, Pylon, becomes her second to spend more than one week on top. Her previous studio album, This Is How Tomorrow Moves, remains her longest chart-topper at three weeks. But this week Pylon moves within a week of tying that album. She’ll work to fend off Slow Pulp (4-3), Julia Jacklin (11-4), and Wishy (31-6) next week in the hopes that Pylon will tie that album for her longest run on top.

2] Speaking of Julia Jacklin and Wishy, they own this week’s two albums that reach the top tier of the NACC 200. Indianapolis five-piece Wishy scored last week’s most-added and highest-debuting album. This week their second LP, Nature’s Pill, leaps into the Top 10, with that aforementioned 31-6 jump. It becomes their third Top 10-peaking record.

3] Aussie singer-songwriter Julia Jacklin enjoyed last week’s biggest-climber on the NACC 200 with her fourth LP, The Gem. The album’s 11-4 move gives her her third straight Top 5-peaking album and keeps her in the conversation to score her third straight #1 album, which she would do if she can reach the top again this time around.

4] Enjoying this week’s highest debut on the NACC 200 is songwriter, rapper, and musician Ben Lasky, who records as Quadeca. Lasky released his debut mixtape when he was just 14. That was over a decade ago. Four more mixtapes along with four LPs have followed, and now his fifth studio album, Life 1, jumps onto our flagship chart at #30 and gives us our first opportunity to feature this artist on our weekly NACC Chart Recap.

5] Dublin, Ireland quintet Gurriers grabs this week’s biggest climb on the NACC 200. ‘Gurrier’ is an Irish slang term primarily associated with their hometown and is “a rough, unruly young man, street urchin, lout, or hooligan.” The band formed in 2020 during the COVID lockdown. Their debut LP, Come And See, arrived in 2024, and this week their sophomore effort, Nobody’s Coming To Save You, soars from 188-48 on the NACC 200.

6] This week’s ‘most-added honors’ race was a real competition! In the end, Los Angeles quartet Death Valley Girls edged out Danielle Ponder by one solitary Top 10 Add for the #1 spot on the NACC 200 Top 30 Adds Chart. Formed in 2013, the band has released six LPs, including their latest, Welcome To Earth. This is our sixth time featuring them here, though never for most-added honors. They’ve had plenty of success on the NACC 200, though. If this album can reach the Top 10, it will be their fourth trip to the top tier.

GENRE CHART HIGHLIGHTS:

1] Irish quintet Fontaines DC spend a seventh straight week at #1 on NACC Singles with “Marianne.” Their lead over Cage The Elephant, who held #1 before them and have remained at #2 throughout the song’s seven-week run, narrows slightly but is still fairly substantial. Fontaines DC are now only one week away from matching Death Cab For Cutie for the longest run at #1 on NACC Singles in 2026.

2] Atlanta’s Mastodon have just logged a fifth non-consecutive week at #1 on NACC Heavy with their ninth LP, Marrow Deep. In doing so, the five-piece heavy metal band has broken out of a three-way tie with Lamb Of God and Megadeth for the longest stay at #1 on this chart in 2026.

3] With Rhiannon Giddens rising to #1 on NACC Folk this week with her seventh overall studio album, Hope Is The Thing With Feathers, this chart has now seen more #1 albums (with nine chart weeks still to go) than NACC Folk saw all of last year.
