Can Beabadoobee stay at #1?

NACC 200 NOTABLES:

1] Just like last week, three different albums jockeyed for and spent time at #1 on the NACC 200 Building Chart this week while the window was open for stations to report. And again, just like last week, Beabadoobee surged ahead to grab the crown. This is her fifth straight week on top with her fourth LP, Pylon. She’s now one week away from joining the All-Time Top 10 List of artists who have the most total weeks atop the chart. Currently, her three chart-topping albums have given her nine total weeks at #1. Julia Jacklin is less than 64 points behind her, rising 4-2 this week.

2] No new albums reach the NACC 200’s Top 10 this week. But we do see an album that rose to #2 earlier this year edge back into the Top 10 this week. Dinosaur Jr‘s 13th studio album, There Near, dipped out of the Top 10 last week, dropping 8-11. This week, the album rises back up 11-10 for its eighth week in the Top 10

3] Enjoying the week’s biggest climb on the NACC 200 is British singer-songwriter Michael Kiwanuka. The London native has been celebrated over the years, winning the BBC’s Sound Of… in 2012 and the Mercury Prize in 2020 for this third album, Kiwanuka. His fourth LP, FUDGE, soars from 145-20 on the NACC 200 this week as he searches for his second Top 10-peaking album on our flagship chart.

4] Manhattan quartet Laundry Day grab this week’s highest debut on the NACC 200 with their third EP, 4×4. Interestingly, despite six LPs and two previous EPs, we’ve never had an opportunity to feature them here. The band formed when all four current members were in high school together. They debut at #46 on the NACC 200 this week.

5] Taking most-added honors this week is Brooklyn quartet DIIV (formerly called Dive). Formed in 2011, they just released their fifth LP, Zirp! Twice before, the band has enjoyed the week’s most-added album and then went on to reach the Top 10. Their 82 adds are the most anyone has received since Phoebe Bridgers’ recent #1-peaking album. They also scored the third-highest debut on the NACC 200 this week at #60.

GENRE CHART HIGHLIGHTS:

1] Tennessee quartet Kings Of Leon stay at #1 on NACC Singles this week with “My Whole World,” the first single from their upcoming 10th LP, O My Beloved (due out on Friday). That means we’ll have a new #1 on NACC Singles next week, as singles can no longer appear on NACC Singles when the parent album is released.

2] Lawyer and Public Defender turned musician Danielle Ponder has risen to #1 on two NACC Genre Charts with her second LP, Everything Has Changed. The Rochester, NY native has been enjoying an extended #1 run on NACC Blues (where she spends a fifth non-consecutive week on top) and now rises 4-1 on NACC R&B/Soul this week.

3] NACC Electronic becomes just the third NACC Chart this year to match its #1 total from 2025. Both NACC Folk and NACC Non-Comm have earlier matches and surpassed those numbers. Now NACC Electronic matches 2025, with The Avalanches rising 3-1 with their fourth LP, No Bad Memories.
