NACC 200 NOTABLES:
1] Detroit native Jack White pins down a second week at #1 on the NACC 200 this week with his seventh solo album, Frozen Charlotte. This is White’s fourth trip to the NACC 200 Top 10 (three solo and once with his band The Raconteurs). He spends a third week at #1 on the NACC NEXT Chart as well.
2] After a wave of eight new albums reached the Top 20 of the NACC 200 last week, we see that wave reach the Top 10 this week, with half of last week’s top-tier records being swept out of the Top 10. There are four new debuts and one new entry. Making the biggest move is Adelaide, Australia quartet, Swapmeet. We’ve featured them the last two weeks as they scored the most-added album two weeks ago and the biggest climb last week. This week they soar from 14-4 with their debut LP, Mount Zero.
3] Also reaching the Top 10 this week is Canadian folk singer Allison Russell. Her third solo LP, In The Hour Of Chaos, leaps 11-5 to become her second NACC 200 Top 10-peaking album. Another act recently releasing their third album is UK quartet Yard Act. By rising 12-7 with their major-label debut, You’re Gonna Need A Little Music, they score their third straight Top 10 album. Fun fact: Yard Act still hold the biggest climb ever on the NACC 200 with their first LP, climbing from 196-6 in 2022. Another Australian band, Babe Rainbow, jumps 17-9 and scores their third Top 10-peaking album with their seventh album, Acid And Honey. Finally, rebounding into the Top 10 after tumbling 4-15 last week, is Vince Staples. He pops back up 15-10 with his first NACC 200 Top 10, Cry Baby.
4] Last week’s most-added album from Houston, TX native Sir Taegen Harris, who records as Love Spells, does what many most-added albums have done over the years when they sneak onto the bottom of the NACC 200 on their add week. He enjoys this week’s biggest climb on the NACC 200 with his debut LP, Love Is The Law. He jumps from 176-22. All of this week’s Top 5 climbers on the NACC 200 rise over 100 spots, which is a real rarity on the chart.
5] This week’s most added album comes from Los Angeles trio Cheekface. The band has made numerous appearances on our NACC Weekly Chart Recap over the years. And this isn’t the first time they’ve scored most-added honors. They did it just last year with their album, Middle Spoon. Now their sixth LP, Podium, collects 53 Top 10 Adds (20 more than the #2 most-added album) and debuts at #98 on the NACC 200.
GENRE CHART HIGHLIGHTS:
1] Phoebe Bridgers may have left the NACC 200 Top 10 this week with her current single, “Lost Boys,” but her hold of the #1 spot on the NACC Singles Chart is not in doubt at all. Her point total nearly doubles that of the song at #2 on the chart, and she spends a fourth straight week on top. The song will be included on her upcoming third LP, Lost Weekend, due August 14.
2] Both Vince Staples and Boards Of Canada pad their leads on their respective charts for the longest run at #1 in 2026. Staples now has a two-week lead on NACC Hip Hop over the next-longest run, and Boards Of Canada have a three-week lead.
3] Dr. Simon Order, who records as Liminal Drifter, matches the longest #1 run the NACC Chill Chart has seen this year. He ties Juliana Barwick & Mary Lattimore by reaching his sixth week at #1 with his album, Cowboy Pilgrim.
