Phoebe Bridgers eyes longest NACC 200 #1 run of 2026

NACC 200 NOTABLES:

1] Phoebe Bridgers has really had no serious competition as she’s spent the last five weeks at #1 (sometimes doubling the next records in points on the chart). Now her third solo studio album, Lost Weekend, spends a sixth week on top and, in doing so, ties Mitski & Arlo Parks for the longest run at #1 this year. Her lead is the smallest it’s been during her reign as Beabadoobee jumps 6-2 this week. She dethrones Bridgers on NACC NEXT, rising 4-1, though Bridgers shows some fight at NACC Non-Comm, where she rebounds to #1 there for a third week on top.

2] Two albums reach the NACC Top 10 this week, both making strong moves into the top tier. Rising 57-8 is Los Angeles native Beck. Few other artists come to mind with such a varied, long-running, and successful career. His 1993 commercial breakthrough “Loser” put him on the map. Eight Grammys (including Album of the Year in 2015 for Morning Phase) and fifteen LPs later, Beck’s shine has never dimmed. His seven-year break between his latest album, Ride Lonesome, and his previous one, Hyperspace (one of two NACC 200 chart-toppers he’s enjoyed), is his longest break between albums.

Also reaching the Top 10 is Madison, WI-formed, Chicago, IL-residing band Slow Pulp. Their third studio album, Melodie, soars from 59-10 and keeps their perfect Top 10 streak alive, as both their previous efforts reached the top tier.

3] Atlanta, GA-born, Fort Worth, TX-raised singer-songwriter Leon Bridges has had one of the more unorthodox rollouts with his fifth LP, Happiness Anytime. The twelve-song album has come out four songs at a time. So although his Top 10 debut this week at #9 (one of just five Top 10 debuts this year) officially gives this record one week (and counting) on the chart, various iterations of this album have had him on the NACC 200 for eleven weeks in a row.

4] This week’s biggest climb on the chart comes from British musician Xenya Genovese, who records as Freak Slug. The Manchester native released EPs in 2021, 2022, & 2023. Her debut LP, I Blow Out Big Candles, arrived in 2024. And now her sophomore effort, Amulet, leaps from 149 to 19.

5] Another solo musician who records under a moniker different than their given name enjoys this week’s most-added album. NYC-born, Los Angeles-residing musician Sabrina Mae Teitelbaum recorded as BAUM from 2017-2020 and, since then, as Blondshell. Her third LP, Violins, matches her 2025 release, If You Asked For A Picture, as a most-added album, collecting 63 Top 10 Adds (six more than last time). She also debuts on the NACC 200 this week at #109.

GENRE CHART HIGHLIGHTS:

1] Irish quintet Fontaines DC enjoys a fifth straight week at #1 on NACC Singles with their latest track, “Marianne.” Their lead over the #2 single from Cage The Elephant (who have been at #2 all five of these weeks and were #1 before Fontaines DC) continues to be pretty massive. This week, that lead is almost double Cage The Elephant’s “Beaches of Tennessee.”

2] Last week we highlighted Orquesta Akokan tying Mexican Institute Of Sound & Meridian Brothers and Ana Tijoux for the most weeks spent at #1 on NACC Latin. This week, in a wild flex, Mexican Institute Of Sound & Meridian Brothers return to #1 after 10 weeks away, rising 5-1 to take the title back for themselves at seven weeks atop the chart in 2026.

3] Wild fluidity continues atop a couple of NACC genre charts this week. On NACC Canadian, Canadian 7-piece Empanadas Ilegales (and yes, we really want to know what makes an empanada illegal!) leaps 13-1 to give the chart its seventh different #1 in as many weeks with their latest album, LABORATORIO TROPICAL. Over at NACC Jazz, the chart has seen six different #1s in six weeks as Ezra Collective rises 7-1 with their fourth LP, Here Because Of Hope.
