NACC 200 NOTABLES:
1] This week Phoebe Bridgers enjoys a third week at #1 on the NACC 200 with her third solo studio album, Lost Weekend. She maintains a robust lead with nearly twice as many points as the next artist on the NACC 200. She also holds atop the NACC NEXT Chart for a fourth straight week, though she surrenders the top spot at both NACC Non-Comm and NACC Canadian.
2] Both the NACC Top 10 and Top 20 see huge turnover this week. This often happens this time of year, with an influx of stations that begin to report again after going on hiatus over the summer months. Half the Top 10 is new this week versus last week. And nine of the NACC Top 20 are new to that region this week as well. The biggest climb into the Top 10 comes from The Linda Lindas. The Los Angeles quartet soars from 91-7 with their third LP, Gotta Get Out. The album is their third straight Top 10 and is seeking to be their second straight NACC 200 chart-topper.
3] Also reaching the NACC Top 10 is last week’s most-added and highest-debuting album from Dinosaur Jr. They jump 27-3 as they seek their second straight NACC 200 #1 with their thirteenth LP, There Near. Interpol’s eighth album, This Mirror Weighs A Ton, leaps 27-5. Leon Bridges climbs 11-8 with most of his fifth LP, Happiness Anytime: Parts 1 & 2, and Hovvdy moves 12-10 with their sixth album, Big World.
4] Making this week’s biggest climb on the NACC 200 is Cincinnati five-piece The Afghan Whigs. Founding members Greg Dulli and John Curley have been with the band since its 1986 inception. Over that time, they’ve released ten studio albums, including their latest, Soft Control, which roars ahead from 184-46.
5] Chicago musician Kai Slater records as Sharp Pins and is back as this week’s most-added artist (a title he also nabbed in 2025). His new collection of demo recordings bested all of this week’s other new releases, collecting 46 Top 10 Adds. He also snuck onto the NACC 200 at #199, so expect a big climb next week.
GENRE CHART HIGHLIGHTS:
1] This week, Irish quintet Fontaines DC enjoys a second week at #1 on NACC Singles with “Marianne.” The song will be part of the band’s fifth studio album, Dopamine Chamber, releasing October 16. The song also rises into the Top 20 of the NACC 200, up 24-18, and is the only single inside the Top 30 of the chart.
2] The lead for the most weeks spent atop any NACC Chart in 2026 has seesawed back and forth between a few different artists recently, but this week Vince Staples takes the honor all to himself. After losing grip of the #1 spot at NACC Hip Hop last week, his seventh album, Cry Baby, rises back 2-1 for an 11th week atop the chart.
3] Allison Russell extends her year-best NACC Folk run at #1 this week with her third LP, In The Hour Of Chaos. This is the album’s seventh week on top.
4] The NACC Non-Comm Chart maintains its title for the most active NACC Chart this year for #1 turnover. This week sees a 19th chart-topper in 2026 as The Womack Sisters rise 2-1. NACC Electronic is the next most active chart this year with 14 #1s.
