NACC NOTABLES: FIVE NACC 200 FEATURES
1] Turnstile rises 2-1 to score their first NACC 200 chart-topper. Their fourth LP and second NACC 200 Top 10 album also tops NACC NEXT for a second week,
2] King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard soars 51-3 with their 27th LP. This is their 12th Top 10 album on the NACC 200 (more than any other artist). They lead two other albums into the Top 10 this week from Ty Segall & Pulp.
3] The Bug Club enjoys the biggest climb on the NACC 200, racing ahead 157-18, with last week’s most added album, Very Human Features.
4] Witch (stylized W.I.T.C.H.) has the highest debut on the NACC 200 this week, opening at #27, with their ninth LP, SOGOLO. The band’s roots date back to 1972.
5] Hotline TNT easily takes the most-added honors with their third LP, Raspberry Moon. It collects 23 more Top 10 Adds than the next closest adding record.
NACC CHART GENRE HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK
– David Byrne ends Wet Leg’s record tying 10-week streak at #1 by rising from 11-1 with “Everybody Laughs” feat. Ghost Town Orchestra. It’s the lead single from his first new album in six years, Who Is The Sky?, due out September 5.
– Femi Kuti matches Songhoy Blues’ seven-week chart-topping run earlier this year for the most weeks spent at #1 on NACC World this week.
– Exactly halfway through the chart year, the NACC Latin Chart has nearly as many #1s (12) as the chart had all year in 2024 (13).
