Wet Leg Completes NACC Hat Trick with LP moisturizer

NACC 200 NOTABLES:

1] Wet Leg completes the NACC hat trick this week, rising 4-1 on the NACC 200 with their second LP, moisturizer. The album adds its name to the list of records that have taken the shortest amount of time to reach #1: just two weeks. Their #1 point total is one of the Top 5 biggest in 2025 and the most since Bon Iver topped the chart in April.

2] No new albums reach the NACC 200’s Top 10 this week but one does re-enter the top tier. After initially peaking at #8 on July 1, Foxwarren is back in the Top 10, rising 12-9 with their second studio album appropriately titled, 2.

3] Aunt Katrina (at first a bedroom project for ex-Feeble Little Horse member Ryan Walchonski and now a full-fledged band) scores the highest debut on the NACC 200 this week. That debut LP has a title the earth can certainly relate to: This Heat Is Slowly Killing Me.

4] British outfit Kokoroko is back with their sophomore LP, Tuff Times Never Last. The album soars from 130-15 to enjoy this week’s biggest climb on the NACC 200 and the band’s first feature here.

5] This week’s most-added album belongs to Seattle musician Madeline Kenney. Her fourth LP was one of NACC’s biggest climbers in 2023. Now her fifth studio album, Kiss From The Balcony, earns her another mention as it collects 50 Top 10 Adds, boding well for a lofty NACC 200 debut next week.

GENRE CHART HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK

Wednesday enjoys a second week at #1 on NACC Singles with “Elderberry Wine,” the lead single from their soon-to-be-released sixth LP, Bleeds, opening up a fairly comfortable lead on the chart after last week’s nail-biter finish.

Aesop Rock now holds the record for the most weeks spent at #1 on NACC Hip Hop so far this year with a fifth week on top for his 10th solo album, Black Hole Superette.

– Montreal duo Ribbon Skirt (formerly known as Love Language) has the only album to rebound to #1 on any NACC Chart this week. Their debut full-length, Bite Down, rises back 2-1 to enjoy a second non-consecutive week at #1 on NACC Canadian.
