NACC 200 NOTABLES:
1] English quartet Dry Cleaning continues to enjoy a comfortable lead at #1 on the NACC 200 with their third studio album, Secret Love. The album edges ahead a bit more in points this week, setting a new 2026 best point total, while their closest competitor, This Is Lorelei, edges down slightly. Their four-week run atop the chart means the last three NACC 200 chart-toppers have all spent four or more weeks at #1. That’s something the chart hasn’t seen since the end of 2020 to the beginning of 2021, when three albums strung together a similar run.
2] After seeing multiple singles reach the Top 10 of the NACC 200 for the first time last week, this chart sees a similar record, although the mix is slightly different. Arlo Parks is the only artist to reach the Top 10 twice with singles, and now her latest, “2SIDED,” has matched her previous Top 10 single, “Weightless,” by spending a third week in the Top 10 (the most of any single). She rises 6-5 to come within one spot of the high-water mark for a single. “Weightless” peaked at #4 in 2023.
Arctic Monkeys becomes the second act to spend more than one week in the Top 10 with a single. “Opening Night” rises 10-7 this week. Replacing Mitski as our third single in the Top 10 is Bruce Springsteen’s anti-ICE anthem, “Streets Of Minneapolis,” which soars 21-9. After only three singles reached the NACC 200’s Top 10 before this, 2026 has now already seen four singles reach the top tier.
3] Making the biggest move into the Top 10 this week (and this year) is last week’s most-added champion, Softcult. The Canadian duo skyrockets from #118 up to #4. Since September of 2023, only two artists have climbed from outside the Top 100 to inside the Top 5 in one week. The other was Snocaps late last year, and they went to #1 for five weeks.
4] Enjoying the NACC 200’s biggest climb of 2026 so far is experimental hip-hop duo By Storm. Formed in Tempe, AZ by rapper RiTchie and producer Parker Corey (both former members of Injury Reserve) in 2023, their debut studio album, My Ghosts Go Ghost, lifts ahead 194-31. They also score the highest debut on the NACC Hip Hop Chart, at #12.
5] Chicago four-piece Ratboys returns with their sixth LP, Singin’ To An Empty Chair. Begun in 2010 by lead singer Julia Steiner & her partner Dave Sagan, the band has enjoyed three previous Top 10-peaking albums. Their most recent release in 2023 climbed 63-2 but wasn’t able to get to #1, so they’ll be hoping to do that album one better this time around. They’re off to a rousing start, collecting 86 Top 10 Adds (the most dating back to September) and jumping aboard the NACC 200 at #24 (this week’s highest debut).
GENRE CHART HIGHLIGHTS:
1] After having one living legend & Rock And Roll Hall of Famer top the NACC R&B/Soul chart earlier this year (86-year-old Mavis Staples), we quickly see another one rise to the top this week. Al Green (79 years old) has risen from 4-1 with his new four-track covers EP, To Love Somebody. Green has also been inducted into the Songwriters’, Grammy, and Gospel Music Halls of Fame.
2] In this early part of 2026, several artists have enjoyed multiple weeks at #1 on various NACC Charts. The two who have the most currently are Danny Brown and Helene Barbier. Brown spent the first five weeks of the year at #1 on NACC Hip-Hop before letting go of the top spot this week, and Barbier has now spent five non-consecutive weeks atop NACC Canadian with her continued run at #1 this week.
3] We’re down to just one final NACC Chart that has yet to see a new #1 in 2026 with an album that didn’t hit #1 first in 2025. Of our 15 charts, only the NACC World Chart remains with Amadou & Miriam and Sessa trading the top spot back and forth this year after both initially reaching the top of the World Chart in 2025 with their latest albums.
