Can Mitski hold off Snail Mail & Arlo Parks for a 6th Week at #1?
NACC 200 NOTABLES:
1] It was a very competitive week as Mitski looked to hold onto the top spot in the wake of fast-surging albums from Snail Mail and Arlo Parks. There were times when the chart was coming together that Arlo Parks was ahead of Mitski. But when the bell rang and the chart deadline arrived, Mitski held tight to the top spot. That means Mitski’s eighth LP, Nothing’s About To Happen To Me, has now been at #1 for six straight weeks. That not only gives her a chart-best 22 cumulative weeks atop the NACC 200 across her four #1s, but she now climbs into a tie for 9th place for the longest run at #1 any single album has enjoyed. In doing so, she joins Wet Leg as the only other act with two albums that have spent 6+ weeks at #1.
