NACC 200 NOTABLES:
1] Four different albums jockeyed for and spent time at #1 on the NACC 200 Building Chart this week while the window was open for stations to report. In the end, Beabadoobee grabbed her fourth straight week on top with her fourth LP, Pylon. It’s her third chart-topping album, and this week becomes her longest-running #1 on our flagship chart, besting her 2024 album, This Is How Tomorrow Moves, which spent three weeks on top. This week saw her smallest lead over the second spot, so next week’s chart should bring a real battle for #1.
2] Two albums reach the NACC 200’s Top 10 this week. Making the biggest move into the top tier is last week’s most-added album from Aussie trio The Avalanches. Their third studio album, We Will Always Love You, soared 23-1 in its second week on the NACC 200 the very first week of charts back in 2021. This week their fourth LP, No Bad Memories, leaps from 49-9 to give them their second Top 10-peaking album. They also zip ahead 9-3 at NACC Electronic and debut on both the NACC NEXT (#15) and NACC Non-Comm Charts (#12).
3] Also reaching the Top 10 is last week’s highest-debuting album from Irish quintet Fontaines DC. Their fifth studio album, Dopamine Chamber, jumped aboard the NACC 200 at #12 last week. This week the album jumps six spots, landing at #6. It keeps them batting a perfect 1.000 at Top 10-peaking albums. All five have made it, including a #1 peak for their second album, A Hero’s Death.
4] This week’s biggest climb on the NACC 200 goes to a College Radio mainstay for over 35 years. Teenage Fanclub formed in Glasgow, Scotland in 1989. Three of their five current members were there on Day 1, with Norman Blake and Raymond McGinley part of the band for the entire run. Their 13th studio album, Do Not Dare To Dream, jumps from 181 to 38 this week, giving us our unfathomable first-ever feature of them on the weekly NACC Chart Recap.
5] Much like Teenage Fanclub, the band Eels have been a longtime name synonymous with College Radio. The Los Angeles seven-piece, led by Mark Oliver Everett (E), has been making music since 1995. The band’s 16th LP, Cookie Happened, is this week’s most-added album. It’s the third time they’ve taken ‘most-added’ honors. They also enjoy one of this week’s Top 5 highest debuts on the NACC 200, opening at #58.
GENRE CHART HIGHLIGHTS:
1] Jumping from 5-1 on NACC Singles this week is Tennessee quartet Kings Of Leon. The band of three brothers (and their cousin) has enjoyed plenty of NACC Chart success over the years. Now the first single from their upcoming 10th LP, O My Beloved (due out November 6), has reached #1. “My Whole Word” is the 15th song to reach #1 on NACC Singles in 2026.
2] The NACC Non-Comm Chart has had more #1s this year (21) than any other chart, though it’s with a bit of an asterisk. Last week we mentioned this chart and NACC Canadian were tied for that distinction. True Mountain Laurel keeps at #1 on NACC Canadian this week while NACC Non-Comm sees a (sort of) new #1. Leon Bridges rises 2-1 with his fifth album, Happiness Anytime. A smaller version of the album that included just the first four of the album’s twelve tracks topped the chart earlier this year.
3] Swinging from the greatest to the least #1s in 2026, for most of the year NACC Blues had, by far, the fewest chart-toppers. But over time, that has shifted with the chart becoming much more fluid. And suddenly it finds itself in a tie with NACC R&B/Soul, NACC Hip Hop, & NACC World, all of which have now seen 12 #1s in 2026.
