NACC 200 NOTABLES:
1] Phoebe Bridgers locks down a fourth week at #1 on the NACC 200 this week with her third solo studio album, Lost Weekend. She now enjoys one of the Top 5 longest stays atop the chart in 2026. Her lead over the #2 artist on the chart (Dinosaur Jr.) is the smallest she’s had so far, but she does gain points on the chart and enjoys her second-strongest of her four weeks on top. So it will be interesting to see if Dinosaur Jr., or perhaps The Linda Lindas (up 7-4 and rising to #1 on NACC NEXT this week) can catch her on the NACC 200 next week.
2] Two albums reach the NACC Top 10 this week. The first, and biggest mover of the two, comes from Athens, AL trio Alabama Shakes. Formed in 2009 and fronted by Brittany Howard (who has topped the NACC 200 as a solo artist), the band has just put out their first new LP in 11 years. I Must Be Dreaming is their third studio album, and it rises 13-9 on the NACC 200 this week
3] Also reaching the NACC Top 10 is Northern California native Chelsea Wolfe. She began making music professionally in 2006 and released her first album in 2010. Her ninth studio album, The Dark, is her first Top 10-peaking LP. It rises from 11 to 10 this week.
4] After scoring last week’s most-added album, Chicago’s Sharp Pins (the moniker that musician Kai Slater records under) enjoys the NACC 200’s biggest climb. We expected that would happen when the album debuted at #199 last week. Not only does he land the biggest climb of the week, but it’s the second-biggest climb of the year and the second-biggest dating all the way back to June of last year as he jumps 173 spots to #26.
5] Taking both ‘Most-Added’ and ‘Highest Debut’ honors is Durham, NC duo Sylvan Esso. Amelia Meath & Nick Sanborn formed the project in 2013 and have enjoyed tremendous success on the NACC Charts. Their fifth album, Ow ∞, is their third to score the ‘Most-Added’ record of the week. And with a debut at #40 on the NACC 200, they are also well on their way to landing their fourth straight Top 10-peaking album.
GENRE CHART HIGHLIGHTS:
1] Irish quintet Fontaines DC grabs a third week at #1 on NACC Singles with their latest release, “Marianne.” The song holds a commanding lead over Cage the Elephant, who topped the chart just before they did. The song also reaches a new peak on the NACC 200, up 18-12, and is the only single inside the Top 25 of the chart.
2] By reaching #1 on NACC Folk this week with his fifth LP, So Much For Goodbyes, Michigan native Billy Strings has given the chart the same number of #1s that NACC Folk saw during the entirety of 2025. That puts this chart on track to become the next one with more #1s this year than last. Both NACC Blues & Non-Comm have long passed that line.
3] With Kansas City musician Danielle Nicole topping NACC Blues this week with her fifth album, Fireflies, that chart finally joins the ranks of all of our other charts in having a double-digit number of chart-toppers this year. Hers is the chart’s tenth #1 of 2026.
